VFW, hospital auxiliaries combine efforts

FALLBROOK — Once again two local auxiliaries have decided to work together for a greater cause and the response has been overwhelming. The VFW Post #1924 Auxiliary has coordinated with Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary to collect items to ship to Iraq and money to help with postage.

So far, this effort has resulted in 150 boxes shipped to US soldiers overseas. Postage cost for these parcels was more than $1,300.

Anyone who would like to donate items or help with postage can donate at the VFW (1175 Old Stage Road) or the Hospital Gift Shop. Community participation is welcome. Honorable mentio...
