Lenell and Kohls: effective teamwork in real estate

The RE/MAX United team of Lenell and Kohls are skillful Realtors who demonstrate ready knowledge of their industry. Their effectiveness in the real estate business, they say, has been to value their clients each step of the way.

Lenell and Kohls have earned their reputation based on teamwork, honesty and ethics. “Real estate is more than just a job for us; it is a way of life,” said Mary Kohls. Making a sale is a tiny piece of the real estate puzzle, because for this duo, building a loyal relationship with their clients is the bigger picture.

“I have made some terrific friends in this business,” said Shirley Lenell.

Lenell and Kohls teamed up a little over three years ago, they said, and it has been a great merger. “It was a mutual agreement,” said Lenell. “I saw that Mary loved people, was a quick learner and ethical.”

Being a Realtor in Fallbrook since 1978, Lenell knew the type of business characteristics she was looking for in a team partner. And Kohls had it all.

Kohls planted her Fallbrook roots 19 years ago. Relatively new but adept in the industry in the last four years, Kohls dove into this career after her children enrolled in high school. “I was in real estate for about six months when Shirley and I teamed up,” she noted.

The Lenell-Kohls team has been a perfect match. “We really get along,” said Kohls.

Experienced in all areas of real estate, these days they have been kept especially busy with single family dwelling transactions. Despite the type of transaction, this team provides top notch customer service to each and every client.

“We put our clients’ best interest first and they have to be happy with our service,” said Kohls. “We are a very service-oriented business here and what we sell is our customer service.”

For Lenell and Kohls, there is a huge advantage in working as a team. One of these Realtors is always available to clients or a potential client. And their clients, they said, receive the double benefit of having two qualified agents.

“You get two of us for the price of one,” said Kohls.

The majority of their real estate transactions have been in the San Diego North County and Southwest Riverside areas. However, they have been known to travel out of the area for clients.

For many reasons, this team chooses to be affiliated with RE/MAX United. “I think their national advertising is great,” said Lenell.

In addition, the ongoing support and education they receive from RE/MAX United is high caliber, they said, with monthly classes in Fallbrook and weekly courses in Escondido.

“They keep us informed on all the new laws and everything that is going on,” said Kohls. “RE/MAX United is a good, ethical company.”

When Lenell and Kohls aren’t wearing their “real estate hats” they are still on the move. Lenell spends time helping out at Fallbrook Gymnastics. “I just love the kids and they call me Grandma Shirley,” she said.

With three teenage daughters, Kohls always has something to do. “They keep me jumping,” she said, smiling.
