Season tickets available for Music Society concert season

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook Music Society has announced that season subscriptions are available for its upcoming 2008-2009 symphony concert season, which showcases celebrated artists, amazing guest soloists and dynamic orchestral and chamber musicians.

“Season tickets for the concerts offer the greatest value and assure seating preferences throughout the season,” said Brenda Montiel, president of Fallbrook Music Society.

Season subscribers enjoy the benefits of discount tickets versus single ticket pricing, with 16 percent savings on a five-concert package or 13 percent savings on a four-concert package. Youth subscriptions are also available.

Connoisseurs and new patrons alike will find that this season’s programming showcases several exciting and dynamic music experiences, beginning on Sunday, October 12, with the Lucerne Festival Strings from Switzerland.

All concerts will focus on different repertoire and will provide listeners the opportunity to hear these superb performances in the 532-seat Bob Burton Center for the Performing Arts, acclaimed for its brilliant acoustics.

Fallbrook Music Society will also present a two-concert Virtuoso Series. On January 18, the Tagi Trio from New York (clarinet, cello and piano) will play music from Brahms to Scott Joplin. Then, on Sunday, March 18, Amsterdam’s Conjunto Ibérico with mezzo-soprano Elena Gragera will perform. This unique two-concert series can be purchased for an additional charge.

Fallbrook Music Society’s symphony series is a vital part of its commitment of educating and nurturing the musical needs of the surrounding communities. The classical music season offers patrons an opportunity to share the joy and discovery of a live symphony concert and makes world-class music easily accessible to residents of North San Diego County.

All performances take place at 3 p.m. in the Bob Burton Center for the Performing Arts, 2400 South Stage Coach Lane. Season subscriptions and single tickets can be purchased by calling (760) 451-8644 or online at http://www.fallbrookmusicsociety.org.
