Car show for a cause needs participants

WILDOMAR- The Wildomar Community Council (WCC), a non-profit organization, is currently organizing a car show and street fair with some 80 booths to take place on October 4 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission to the event for spectators is free and those wishing to enter vehicles in the event can register them for only $25 each. Organizers hope the event will help raise enough money to provide 1,000 meals for needy families.

“The event is intended to raise funds to provide food and supplies for HOPE [Helping Our People in Elsinore] food bank for the upcoming holiday season,” said Tom Tisdale, car show coordinator and WCC director.

Vehicles of all ages of types are welcome in the show. “Cars and trucks of any age, from antique to brand new are welcome,” said Tim Deegan of Cornerstone Motorsports. “We also encourage people with motorcyles and specialty vehicles to enter them in the show.”

Throughout the event gift baskets and other prizes will be raffled off. Anyone who brings two canned or packaged non-perishable food items (or $2) will receive a raffle ticket.

Entry information is available at http://www.WildomarCommunityCouncil.org or by contacting the WCC at (951) 245-2555. To reach the event, take Interstate 15 north to the Bundy Canyon exit. Go west on Bundy Canyon to Mission Trail.
