Stage Coach Sunday will mark FLC's 20th anniversary

FALLBROOK — On Sunday, September 28, the Fallbrook Land Conservancy (FLC) will celebrate its 20th anniversary with the 18th annual “Old-Fashioned Celebration” known as Stage Coach Sunday at Palomares House on South Stage Coach Lane.

The event will run from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and feature live music by Gordon Stone’s Stonehouse band, an animal show by Pacific Animal Productions and wagon rides by Cinderella Carriages.

Other scheduled events include the popular children’s Halloween contest, face painting, pumpkin decorating, games and contests for all ages and, of course, the traditional barbecue dinner and beer garden.

The highlight of the event every year is the silent auction and raffle. Many businesses have donating tempting prizes and auction items.

Entry to the event is free. Dinner tickets may be purchased at $10 for adults and $5 for children. A special anniversary package is available for $300 and includes a commemorative tile inscribed with the donors’ names. These tiles will be placed in a special 20th anniversary section of the Palomares House walkway.

Call (760) 728-0889 for more information.

This event is sponsored by San Diego County Supervisor Bill Horn and First National Bank of Southern California. Proceeds from the event provide for stewardship of FLC open space preserves, Palomares House and Park, tree plantings throughout the community and the maintenance of a network of hiking and equestrian trails. The FLC is a nonprofit organization.
