Janice Marie Hartman

Janice Marie Hartman, 75, of Rainbow went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2008.

Janice Wolf was born in Columbus, OH, in 1933 and attended Miami University in Ohio. She moved to California in 1956 to be a schoolteacher. She married Herb Hartman in 1958 and moved to Rainbow with their three children in 1970. Jan lovingly volunteered in PTA, school board, 4-H, Grange, church and more in Rainbow. Herb and Jan just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 23.

She is survived by her husband Herb; brother Donald of Fallbrook; children Randy Hartman of Colorado, Brian Hartman and daughter-in-law Linda of Escondido, and Charmeé Slowensky and son-in-law Joseph; and granddaughters Cheyenne and Lacey Slowensky of Trabuco Canyon.

A memorial service will be held at Riverview Evangelical Free Church in Bonsall on October 18 at 2 p.m.
