Retired teachers recognized for volunteer time

Together, Genie Summers (left) and Sandra Bell accumulated 1,620 hours of volunteer time in a six-month period this year. California Retired Teachers, Fallbrook Div. 81, recently awarded them for outstanding services to the community.

California Retired Teachers, Avocado Div. 81, recently recognized members for their service and achievements. The group enjoyed brunch and was entertained by Kathy Herbruck and Paul Kruse with songs of the ’40s through the ’60s.

Ronne Branson was recognized as historian and Genie Summers has taken the corresponding secretary’s role. Half-year awards were given to Genie Summers and Sandra Bell for their accumulated 1,620 hours of service to the community.
