Citizens can learn about Sheriff's Dept.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department will offer a two-day Citizen’s Academy on Saturday, October 25, and Saturday, November 1, from 8 to 4 p.m.

The academy is designed to acquaint citizens with the operations of the Sheriff’s Department and include information on SWAT, a jail tour, crime scene investigations, crime prevention and more.

Class maximum is 50 students. All applicants must be 18 years or older and undergo a background check prior to acceptance to the academy.
