La Caseta celebrating 25th anniversary

FALLBROOK — When Delos W. Eyer and his family bought La Caseta from the original owner, Marc Chaisson, in July 1991, Delos’ son Erik was 9 months old. Now, Erik, a junior at Fallbrook High School, and Delos’ other son Axel, a sophomore, work part-time at La Caseta.

The building in which the restaurant is located, on the corner of Vine and Alvarado, can be traced back to 1919. La Caseta means “the small house” and has always been a family business. “Mom” Jeanne Eyer worked there as an assistant general manager for 13 years and “Dad” Delos Eyer Sr. did accounting and general repairs there for many years.

La Caseta and its owner have a 25-year history of actively supporting the community and local students. The restaurant has a reputation for excellent service due to wonderful employees who love working there.

It has won many food awards over the years, including the Fallbrook Avocado Festival’s Best Salsa and Best Avocado Dish several times over, and was this year’s “Taste of Fallbrook” winner.

La Caseta also provides catering services and offers fresh salsa at local retail markets.

Residents are invited to come and enjoy 25th anniversary special prices and the new hours. La Caseta is now open for lunch Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
