Fallbrook AYFC completes second week of season

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook AYF Warriors had a travel day Saturday, September 13, and brought back a mixed bag of scores.

The Mitey Mite team fought their opponents, Mira Mesa, to a standstill with a 34-6 win. This was a key win for the Mitey Mites as, according to the coaches, “many lights went on with those kids” and the intensity level went up a few notches.

The Junior Pee Wee team is continuing to lead their tier with a 6-0 win again the Los Toros Bulls (2007 Q Bowl Champions) in Spring Valley. Their defense has held their opponents to 0 points so far this season!

Pee Wees fought 4S Ranch’s undefeated Spring Ball team and came up short with a 7-20 score in favor of 4S Ranch.

The All-American Weight Unlimited team came up against a truly weight-unlimited team of San Luis Rey. Although they were in their own red zone on several occasions, the Warriors could not convert, with the final score being 0-29 San Luis Rey.

AYFC will be playing at home again on October 4 and 18 and the public is welcome. For more information on AYFC or donating to this nonprofit youth sports association, call (760) 728-4293 or log on to http://www.fallbrookwarriors.org.
