Rainbow Valley Grange meets Oct. 11

RAINBOW — The Grange is a national organization made up of members from age 5 on up to “senior youth.” It provides members with many opportunities to develop new talents through various programs and projects. Everyone is welcome to come to Rainbow Valley Grange’s next meetings on Saturday, October 11.

The Grange Youth Fair program, for ages 5 to 19, allows members to show project animals, arts and crafts and other projects at local, county and state fairs. This month, they will be starting their program for the upcoming fair season. They meet at 3:30 p.m. at the Grange Hall, 2160 Rainbow Valley Blvd. For more information, call Fair Team Director Ingrid Dunckel at (760)728-1698.

The Junior Grange program, for ages 5 to 13, also offers an ever-changing merit badge program which gives recognition in special areas of interest. Junior members meet at 4:30 p.m.

Service to the community is promoted, as well as environmental awareness. Members also have the chance to participate in state and national contests for art, crafts, public speaking, creative writing, photography and much more.
