Coyote Country Chapter Poker Run Oct. 4

FALLBROOK — The Coyote Country chapter of the Ninety-Nines, Inc. will sponsor the 17th annual Cross Country Caper and Poker Run on Saturday, October 4. (Sunday, October 5, is the backup date.)

Pilots who wish to join the fun will fly to five out of six designated airports and pick up poker hands at each airport. Poker hands may be purchased for $4 per hand or $10 for three hands.

The airports involved are Fallbrook, Ramona, Gillespie Field, Hemet-Ryan, French Valley and Oceanside. Pilots can start at any of those airports at 10:30 a.m. but must finish at French Valley and be checked in no later than 2:30.

Prizes will be given out for the best poker hands. There will also be a silent auction. Proceeds from this event are used to support women planning careers in aviation.
