Mural would be better 'toned down'

So now we can tell visitors, “Go to where you see a train on the side of a building and turn up the hill there” for directions to the hospital. That’s okay. I like murals on buildings. I like things artistic in the Village. I love trains. I wish we still had one coming here. I like the history of the old hotel and the orchards and vineyards, our hills and mountains and our sunrises. All so beautiful, as Fallbrook truly is. I like the sepia tones of our latest mural and I like the colors on others. I like bold and sepia alike. But do the colors in this new mural-to-be have to be quite so garish?

I guess I just don’t like seeing Fallbrook depicted in any part as “cartoonish” or “crass” or “cheaply garish.” Just my artistic opinion. I hope artist Stokes and the rest of the committees and alliances will be willing to tone it down just a little.
