FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Running and Walking Club meets on Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. The meeting location is at the North Stage Coach Lane trailhead of the Santa Margarita River Trails. If coming from Fallbrook (heading east to I-15), turn left (north) at the light at East Mission and Stage Coach and follow North Stage Coach to the trailhead.
The Sunday workout is at 6:30 a.m. at Sandia Creek Park. The park is located about five minutes from Fallbrook Village and operated by the Fallbrook Land Conservancy. To reach the park, turn north off South Mission onto Pico/De Luz Road and travel about a mile, then bear right onto Sandia Creek Road. Continue for another mile until reaching Sandia Creek Park on the right, just before crossing the creek and close to the junction of Sandia Creek Road and Rock Mountain Road.
Wednesday walk/run meets at 5:45 p.m. at Los Jilgueros Preserve on South Mission, just north of Fallbrook High School.
All three locations provide access to an excellent system of trails in a natural and scenic setting.
The club welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities and participation is free. For more information, contact Hank Donigan at (760) 201-7613 or [email protected].
