Become a Certified Notary/loan signing agent

OCEANSIDE — No tests are needed nor given to become a loan signing notary. And no matter how slow the market is, loan signing agents are still needed.

There is no need to be a commissioned notary or even have received the results of the exam, but agents do have to take a notary class.

California’s real estate industry is in need of notaries and others who would like to become loan document specialists.

“Certified Notary-Loan Signing Agent,” offered through MiraCosta College’s Community Services Program, will help participants to become loan document specialists.

They will find out how to contact the most profitable businesses and who their primary contact should be, get signed up with successful signing services agencies and build their own businesses.

Instructors will take them through a practice loan package where they’ll learn how to properly notarize loan packages, negotiate a fee and advertise themselves in their market, get called back and brand them as professionals.

The class will meet Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in room 3515 at MiraCosta College, 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside. The class will be taught by Notary Public Seminars, Inc.

For cost and additional information, or to register, call (760) 795-6820 or visit http://www.miracosta.edu/commsvcs.
