Activities for the whole family include: a Remembrance Walk departing from the Village Square at 10:30 a.m.; a flag ceremony performed by Girl Scout Troop #4630 at 11:30; guest speakers at 11:45; children’s activities, including a visit from Smokey Bear, 12:30 to 2 p.m.; Ice Cream Sundae Social 12:30 to 2; displays including photos and flowers; artwork including Jim Helm’s angel sculpture created from fire debris, burnt treasures, and a timeline depicting where families in their recovery process; and safety information from the Community Emergency Response Team and the Fallbrook Fire Safe Council.

Fire recovery is a long process. Many families have not yet begun to rebuild their homes. Community members can make a difference by coming together to show support for those whose lives have been affected by this disaster.
