Rice Fire remembrance event Saturday

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Fire Recovery Center and the Wildfire Recovery Project invite all residents to recognize the ongoing recovery of the community since last October’s Rice Canyon firestorm on Saturday, October 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Village Square, located at the corner of Main and Alvarado.

Activities for the whole family include: a Remembrance Walk departing from the Village Square at 10:30 a.m.; a flag ceremony performed by Girl Scout Troop #4630 at 11:30; guest speakers at 11:45; children’s activities, including a visit from Smokey Bear, 12:30 to 2 p.m.; Ice Cream Sund...
