Handling the emotional side of diabetes

An emotional rollercoaster often accompanies a diagnosis of diabetes. Frustration, despair, inertia, anger and denial are some of the difficult emotions that may come up as individuals face living with this disease on a day-to-day basis. How can one handle these emotions and not let them get the best of him?

Sally Wolf, a local Marriage and Family Therapist, will speak about “The Emotional Side of Diabetes” at the Wednesday, October 22, meeting of the Diabetes Support Group. Attendance is free. The group now meets at the Regency Retirement and Assisted Living Community at 609 East Elder Street, across from Fallbrook Hospital.
