Stokes is a fine artist

I would like to register my support for Brett Stokes and his work. He is a fine artist and should be appreciated for how he expresses himself, not how he blends into a décor. Brett has spent his whole life in Fallbrook and over the years he has painted the way he sees the area from his own perspective. If he had done otherwise, he would not be an artist but a decorator.

No offense to decorators but there is a difference. A decorator might coordinate or blend the colors. But an artist expresses what he sees and feels through some inner vision that the rest of us non-artists wish we had. I hope his work goes up as scheduled and for myself, I’ll try to see it through his eyes. It will not be cheap or crass or garish.
