Arnold achieves Eagle Scout designation

FALLBROOK — Andrew Arnold, a freshman at Fallbrook High School and Boy Scout from Troop #725, completed his Eagle Project on October 4 at the new Fallbrook Community Garden.

Arnold built five raised garden beds out of cinder blocks, rebar and cement. He recruited the help of 34 fellow scouts, leaders and family members. He also raised funds for the project, which included donations from the Angel Society and Dr. Whitworth of Temecula.

The new Community Garden is located at approximately 1600 Alturas Road, near Ali Lane. There will be 40 garden beds after several other scouts have finished their projects, along with a gardening shed, benches for sitting and potting benches.

The opening ceremony for the new community garden will be October 29 at 10 a.m.
