Safe Halloween offers variety of activities

Fallbrook Community Center and La Paloma School will host a “spooktacular” Safe Halloween festival for pint-sized ghosts, goblins and witches on Friday, October 31, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Children and their parents can participate in a variety of activities such as carnival games, trick-or-treats, karaoke contests, pumpkin decorating, face painting and touring the “haunted house.”

This year’s costume contest will be divided into categories such as “Most Creative,” “Scariest” and “Most Elaborate” and will be held every half-hour beginning at 5:30.

Carnival games will be staffed by volunteers from community service groups at various stations in the quad area at La Paloma. Other service organizations will provide balloons, treats and popcorn.

The event is free. Children preschool age and older are invited to attend and must be accompanied by an adult.

La Paloma School is located at 300 Heald Lane. To volunteer or make a donation to the event, contact the Community Center at (760) 728-1671.
