Stanna Curtis Dapper

Stanna Curtis Dapper passed away peacefully on October 14, 2008. She was born on July 15, 1921, in San Diego to Stanley and Dora Ione Curtis.

Stanna grew up in Los Angeles and has been married to Clifford R. Dapper for 64 years. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in bacteriology and worked as the bacteriologist for Los Angeles County until her marriage.

In 1955, she and her husband purchased 30 acres of property, where they grew avocados, lemons and limes. She and her husband raised a daughter, Cristin Longhurst, and three sons, Curtis, Samuel and Ross Dapper.

Stanna enjoyed watching her sons participate in sports. She was also an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Primary Children’s Organization, as adult Sunday school teacher and as a public relations specialist.

Her great passion was genealogy. She spent each Thursday in a Family History Library researching family names. Hundreds of her ancestors received the blessings of temple ordinance work through her efforts.

Stanna is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jack Curtis. Funeral services were held in the LDS building in Fallbrook.
