The Fallbrook branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) recently held a voters’ information forum at the Fallbrook Public Utility District building.
Program chairs Emma Urueta-Ruiz and Young Milton arranged to have a representative from the League of Women Voters, Anne Omsted, explain the various initiatives and propositions on the November ballot.
Both pros and cons were explained and questions were elicited from the audience as well as comments.
The meeting, which was open to the public, had several guests among which were students from the AVID program at Fallbrook High School. A number of AAUW members mentor students in the program and invite them to meetings and activities that may be of interest to them as well as broaden their experiences in the community.
