Alturas and Clemmens an accident waiting to happen

As a resident of Fallbrook and a concerned father, I am bringing this issue to attention. I live at the corner of Alturas Road and Clemmens Lane. I am addressing the traffic issue and I am extremely concerned with the speed of traffic.

I watch the traffic every day. Drivers traveling east to make the left turn onto West Clemmens always cut the corner. My niece and I were almost hit by a gold-colored Camaro. On another occasion, my wife and I were almost hit. Other members of my family have also had close calls. Neighbors also have had problems. When leaving our house, as we back out of our driveway it is a terrible feeling not knowing if someone is going to drive right into you. I do not want to see anyone killed or seriously injured.

I am asking to consider the placement of speed bumps on the streets of concern. I strongly believe that the placement of speed bumps would provide a solution to the problem and greatly reduce the rate of speed of the passing traffic. Travelers need to be regulated and I feel this is only going to save lives.

I have also submitted an online request to the Department of Public Works.
