Etching workshop offered

Fallbrook School of the Arts will hold an etching workshop taught by Dixon Fish on Saturday and Sunday, November 15 and 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

In this two-day workshop, attendees will use the same kind of tools that Rembrandt used to make their own zinc etching plate. Then they will use the etching press to experiment with different printing methods.

Images may be abstract or realistic as long as they are made up of lines. Each person will leave the workshop with an etching plate and print.

No experience is necessary. Handouts and most materials will be provided.

The workshop is limited to eight students. For cost and to register, call (760) 728-6383 or visit
