Fallbrook Waste & Recycling expands hours

FALLBROOK — In an effort to increase landfill diversion and preserve valuable resources, Fallbrook Waste & Recycling Services has expanded its hours.

Located at 550 West Aviation Road, the facility’s new hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon and 1:15 to 4 p.m.

The facility pays for all California Redemption Value (CRV) items, such as aluminum, plastic containers and bottles. In addition, the facility also accepts other items such as newspaper, milk and water jugs, glass jars and cardboard on a donation basis.

Fallbrook Waste & Recycling reminds everyone that recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to power a television for three hours and that if all newspaper was recycled, 250 million trees would be saved each year.

Participation in recycling programs is critical to meeting state and local mandates and preserving dwindling landfill capacity.

Fallbrook Waste & Recycling Services is family-owned and locally operated and provides waste and recycling services throughout San Diego County. For more information, visit http://www.edcodisposal.com.
