A note to Fallbrook folks

I’d like to take this opportunity to share a journey that my family and I are taking together. Our uncle is a kind, gentle and loving man who happens to need full-time care. As a family, we decided we would share in his care.

I have never been a caregiver other than caring for my children and grandchildren. As some of you know, being a full-time caregiver can be a challenge. I didn’t know how to handle any of this.

My family and I have had the good fortune to find a quaint little place known as “The Club.” The Fallbrook Adult Day Care Center is a program of the Foundation for Senior Care. The Club is a happy, wonderful place with a dedicated, loving staff.

I cannot begin to express how I feel about the level of care they provide for my uncle. The change in him is unbelievable. He is always in a hurry to go see Teddie and the staff. They are dedicated to the folks they care for. That dedication amazes me. I don’t know where I would be without these outstanding people.

Please go see Teddie Borges, the center administrator, and her wonderful staff. Drop in on Morgan Cadmus, the executive director at the Foundation office, and meet everyone there. They have so many great programs. I dropped in on a meeting with the board of directors and was very impressed by what they believe in and stand for.
