Iowa Street Home School students Sydney Kornelsen and Sam Hardeman hammer in loose nails in the lunch area at the Fallbrook Child Development Center as one of their community service projects.

FALLBROOK — It was “Makeover Day” for the Fallbrook Child Development Center as students from the Iowa Street Home Education School Service Club donated hours to rake leaves, pull weeds, pound nails and generally clean up the playground area.

The service club volunteers time each month to work within the Fallbrook community. Other projects have included the Fallbrook Food Pantry, Mission Resource Conservation District and the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary.

Iowa Street Home Education is a K-8 School in the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District.
