Torre-Bueno to speak to Garden Club

FALLBROOK — Susi Torre-Bueno will be the speaker at the November 25 general meeting of Fallbrook Garden Club. Social time begins at 12:30 p.m. and the meeting is at 1 at the Community Center at 341 Heald Lane.

Torre-Bueno is president of the 1,300-plus-member San Diego Horticultural Society, which meets at the Del Mar Fairgrounds once a month.

She will help teach why and how to use colorful foliage to enhance a garden. She will talk on all types of plants, with emphasis on low-water plants, as she creates several tabletop gardens.

Torre-Bueno’s garden at her Encinitas home was featured in numerous magazine articles and on HGTV.

The meeting is open to the public and new members are welcomed.
