'I wish I had a new life', What the Bible says about your ability to have a new life

God has a new life for you. It is called salvation. As you go through the following scriptures, please note how wonderful this gift of a new life truly is.

We all need God’s gift of a new life (salvation). 1) God is holy and will not accept sin as a right (Isaiah 6:3). 2) Because of Adam’s sin we are all born sinful beings. (Genesis 3:6-7 and Romans 5:12). 3) We all show our sinfulness by our actions (Ecclesiastes 7:20 and Romans 3:23).

There is a way for everyone to receive a new life. 1) Understand that this new life is a gift (Romans 6:23). 2) Understand that this new life is based on Christ’s death for us. (Colossians 1:22, John 3:16-17) 3) Understand that this new life is received by believing God (Acts 16:31 and Romans 10:9-12).

This new life brings with it many blessings. 1) Though our body dies we will live forever. (John 5:24). 2) We will see our nature changed into something better. (2 Corinthians 5:17) 3) We will become part of God’s family (1 John 3-2). 4) We will receive power from God to live the way we were meant to live (Acts 1-8 and Ephesians 2: 8-12).

When we put our trust in Jesus we have this new life. 1) God promised this to us. (Titus 1:2) 2) The Holy Spirit will confirm it to us (1 John 3:24). 3. Our life changing will prove it (1 Corinthians 6:11 and Galatians 5:22-23).

The Bible refers to this new life in the following terms. 1) We are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17) 2) We have gone from death to life (John 5:24). 3) We have been transferred from the devil’s ownership to God’s ownership. (Colossians 1:13). 4) We have been born-again (John 3:3). 5) We have been adopted by God (Galatians 4:4-5)

How does someone receive this new life? 1) Realize God’s desire to give you this new life (John 3:16-17 and Galatians 2:8). 2) Admit you need this new life. (Romans 3:23). 3) Ask Jesus to give you this new life (Romans 10: 9-10).

There is a “new life” waiting for you to receive it by admitting your need and asking. To continue to grow, find a Bible believing church in your area.
