Quick fire response impressed me

I would like to send my sincere appreciation to the fire personnel who responded to the fire on Sunday, November 9, down Rice Canyon.

Although it was reported as being on Couser Canyon, it was north of 76 and directly east on Rice Canyon.

I saw the smoke from Pala Mesa and called Cal Fire to report it. She said they were aware of it but that no one was on site as yet.

By the time I traveled back across Interstate 15 and down Rice Canyon, they had two helicopters, two tankers, one spotter plane and numerous fire trucks and CHPs on site.

Living down Rice Canyon myself, I was very impressed by the quick response. Thanks to all who responded!
