Tribe Jr. Midget team wins semi-final, now on way to title game

The Pop Warner Fallbrook Tribe played Saturday in the Western Conference Semifinal held in Menifee. The Tribe has had a remarkable undefeated season under the coaching direction of Mark Thomas and his dedicated assistant coaches.

All 31 Tribesmen arrived ready to take on the Rancho San Diego Norsemen in the blazing heat and Santa Ana winds. The Norsemen were no match for this amazing Tribe team. Troy Welby started the Tribe off with a great pass to Austin Rodriguez, who made the catch and scored the first touchdown. Shortly after, Tucker Fleischman scored for a second Tribe touchdown.

In the third quarter Juan Campos intercepted the pass and set up Boston Menossi for a third Tribe touchdown. The final score was 32 to 0 after Micah Marroquin took the ball 80 yards down the field with incredible speed. Once again the Fallbrook Tribe was unstoppable.

The team invites all Fallbrook family and friends to join them as they compete for the Wescon Championship Title on Saturday, November 22, at 2:30 p.m. at Trabuco Hills High School in Mission Viejo.

The Tribe has been fundraising all year in hopes of winning this championship. The winning team will go on to the National Pop Warner Super Bowl held in December in Orlando. Anyone wishing to sponsor a player for the Super Bowl may contact Fallbrook Pop Warner at [email protected] or FPW, PO Box 1866, Fallbrook, CA 92088.
