Nicholas Anthony Hauff

Nicholas Anthony Hauff, 29, cherished and beloved son, brother, boyfriend, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2008, after a long battle with cancer. He was comforted to the end by his close family and friends. Nicholas was born at Fallbrook Hospital and will be remembered lovingly by so many in the community in which he spent his entire life.

Nicholas leaves behind his parents Tim and Cyndi Hauff of Fallbrook; sister and brother-in-law Heidi and Scott Larsen of Orange; grandparents Graydon and Marilyn Hauff of Anaheim; and loving girlfriend Irene Escobedo and her precious daughter Teresa of Fallbrook. He also leaves behind many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him deeply. Nicholas was preceded in death by grandparents Phil and Leona Christiansen; uncles David Christiansen, Mike Christiansen and Kenny Hauff; and cousin Brian Hauff.

Nicholas will be remembered by his selfless nature, graceful acceptance of his battle with cancer, physical strength and, most importantly, his love and understanding of God’s blessings and love.

His favorite pastimes were spending time with family and friends, playing a baseball or softball game, riding his motorcycle, passionately enjoying music and sharing a funny story. Nicholas especially enjoyed the Christmas season with music and family traditions that the holiday represented.

There will be a celebration of his life and journey home on Saturday, November 29, at 3 p.m. at 741 Shady Lane in Fallbrook. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Fallbrook Hospital Hospice or American Cancer Society.
