ShakeOut prepares students for an earthquake

FALLBROOK — St. Stephen Lutheran School and Preschool participated in the Great Southern California ShakeOut on Thursday, November 13, at 10 a.m.

Recognized as the largest earthquake drill in US history, this gave residents an opportunity to practice what would be done in the event of an actual earthquake.

The ShakeOut was based on a magnitude 7.8 earthquake that one day may shake all of Southern California.

Families were also encouraged to consider what may happen in the event of a big earthquake and discuss earthquake readiness and how to prepare at home.
