FALLBROOK — Wendall Doty was one of 225 participants in the Thanksgiving Walk/Run to Feed the Hungry, sponsored by the Fallbrook Food Pantry, on Saturday, November 15.

Doty was homeless and had a drinking problem when he was first introduced to the Recovery Program at Riverview Evangelical Free Church in Bonsall several years ago.

Jay Lawrence, a member of the church, worked with Doty and referred him to the Fallbrook Food Pantry for assistance.

Doty has been receiving nutritional food allotments from the pantry on a weekly basis for the last couple years. He says that without that ass...
