Airpark to host Marine Corps toy drive

FALLBROOK — Marines, pilots, local residents, airport staff and others will join together to collect toys for the annual Marine Corps Toys for Tots toy drive December 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fallbrook Airpark.

Marine Corps vehicles, along with many of the airport’s aircraft, will be on display at the airport’s public viewing area on South Mission Road about five miles north of State Route 76.

US Marines in their dress blue uniforms will be present to accept new, unwrapped toys. Pilots from outside Fallbrook are also encouraged to fly in with donations.

Since the program began in 1947, the Marines have distributed more than 370 million toys to more than 173 million needy children.
