Angels donate to projects, plan for holiday sale

FALLBROOK — Last month, the Angel Society made donations totaling $13,700 to:

• Santa’s Toy Project ($5,000), which, in conjunction with YMCA Camp Pendleton, focuses on the needs of families of lower-level military persons.

• Fallbrook Family Support League ($1,500), which serves all local schools, including counseling for families.

• Fallbrook Garden Club and La Paloma Elementary School ($900), which work together in the after-school garden program for fourth, fifth and sixth grade students and those students with special needs.

• Christopher Korean ($300) for his Eagle Scout project. A member of Boy Scout Troop 755, Korean will be building a privacy fence and landscaping at the San Diego Center for the Blind in Vista.

• REINS Therapeutic Horsemanship program ($8,000) for their scholarship program and to help build a new Sensory Integration Trail.

The Angel Society raises funds for charitable giving by offering items for sale in their thrift store at 1002 South Main Avenue.

The store will be open extended hours (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) on December 18 for a special holiday shopping event.

Many gift items will be available at bargain prices. Some items, donated by generous merchants, are brand new in original packaging.

Shoppers will find sports equipment such as gloves, bats, balls and fins, as well as dolls and stuffed animals and the usual racks of fashionable resale chic to tempt ladies of all ages.
