Aguigui wins state gymnastics title

The 2008 Southern California Junior Olympics Women Gymnastics tournament was held in Pomona in November.

Many young girls from all over Southern California came to compete for the title. Local resident Kalani Aguigui took first place all around.

Kalani competed in the 13-year-old, Level 6 division, placing first in floor, beam, vault and uneven bars.

She beat all the other Level 6 girls in Southern California. She did a fantastic job and her impressive scores also helped her team place second in the state.

Kalani attends Potter Junior High School and competes for Southern California Elite Gymnastics in Temecula. This is Kalani’s second year in earning the Southern California State title.
