Candy sales help pay for East Coast trip

FALLBROOK — Potter Junior High students are now working to raise funds for the annual eighth grade class trip.

“Everyone talks about the destinations – Washington, DC, and New York – but a large part of the learning takes place during the process of earning the money to go on the trip. That process is very important,” said Potter parent Peggy DiMercurio while working with her son John.

“No one really wants to give up free time to work. Plus, selling candy at Albertsons is kind of embarrassing,” said Potter student Joanna Gonda.

Embarrassing or not, look for Potter students on the weekends at Albertsons selling candy and gift basket raffle tickets to earn money for their trip.
