Free dance/choreography workshop offered

TEMECULA — Temecula Presents invites local dancers to learn from ballet master Amy London of the Smuin Ballet from San Francisco on Saturday, January 31, at 1 p.m.

Smuin Ballet will be conducting their guest residency at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater and will offer one complimentary student workshop in dance and choreography open to all local dancers.

London received her early training in her hometown of Albuquerque, NM, from Karen Alwin and Shauna Bereska. She has danced professionally with Hartford Ballet, Diablo Ballet and Smuin Ballet.

London will teach the student workshop in Temecula Theater’s dance studio. It is a free class offered as part of the Temecula Presents residency and part of its educational outreach program.

The first 30 reservations by local dance students will be honored to attend this free dance class. To register, call (866) 653-8696.

The Smuin Ballet will perform at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater on Friday, January 30, and Saturday, January 31, at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at http://www.temeculatheater.org.
