Retired teachers present grants

Because retired teachers know how difficult it is to provide excellent learning programs to students without school funds being provided for them, the local chapter of the California Retired Teachers Association presented eight $200 grants on December 16 to the following teachers in the Fallbrook and Vallecitos Elementary School Districts: Rebecca Cook, Caryl Crowell, Danni Fieri, Patricia Kirkpatrick, Michelle Lin, Heather Moffat, Aimee Plette, and Lynn Walker. Grants will be used to purchase materials for reading, social studies, music, language arts, and special education for pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.
