A mother says 'thank you'

My name is Cindy Rai and I am from Texas. On November 22, 2008, my son Rick Montalvo gave his sister Jeannie Montalvo a ride on his motorcycle. It was a beautiful Saturday. They were on Alvarado when the accident happened on their way home. My daughter was trapped under the car that also ran over the motorcycle.

I was told that at least three men stopped to render aid. One jacked up the car and they all lifted it off her. This, I was informed at the hospital, saved her life. My son is a Marine and is just recently back on duty from the accident.

My daughter is in rehab and expected to make a good recovery. She is 17 and has her whole life ahead of her still, thanks to you gentlemen first and then the medical attention she received after.

I am expecting my ninth child and she is my fourth. I have to return to Texas on December 30 due to my pregnancy. From all her brothers, sisters and especially me, her mother, I want to say Thank You and God bless you! My coming baby will know his sister Jeannie thanks to you all. If you are reading this and would like to contact me or my son Rick, the newspaper will give you our contact information.
