Fallbrook Seniors to meet

The Fallbrook Senior Citizens Club will convene for a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 13, at 10 a.m. with a new board of officers.

The board will be led by Frances Baca, whose stated civic goal is the improvement and operation of the Senior Center by being available to fill any need called upon.

Other officers include first vice president Dee Munoz, second vice president Mike Bermudez, secretary Nancy Hill, treasurer Miyo Haver and members Joe Fahey, Opal Dering and Ruby Hollisand plus new member Adrienne Clark.

The meeting’s program will feature Nancy Hill demonstrating the center’s newly purchased Nintendo Wii system, which offers seniors exercise via its games.

Bingo will be played from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Caller will be Dee Munoz with relief by Edith Ryder. There will be many great prizes for the winners. Cards are $1 each with no limit. Refreshments will be served.

The Knit Wits will meet on Wednesday, January 14, at 10 a.m. at the center to continue making items for the dependents of Camp Pendleton servicemen and women who are serving overseas. Donations of good yarn are always welcome and can be left in the office. For inquiries, call Gigi at (760) 728-9074.
