Americana Music Series announces part of 2009 lineup

FALLBROOK — Organizers of the Fallbrook Americana Music Series recently released some of the concerts that will be offered to the public this year.

For additional information, call (760) 723-7255.

Jan. 24: Tim Flannery and his band at the Mission Theater. Tickets $20 each. Flannery mentioned he may record this concert, so it could become his next album.

Feb. 15: Prickly Pair, a husband-wife duo from Wyoming, Les and Locke Hamilton. They are ranchers and entertainers. Yes, they wear those big hats! They don’t do cowboy music per se; they sing about the West with lyrical beauty. Her voice is clear as a bell. He plays fiddle with a lyrical touch that matches her voice. Concert is at the Mission Theater and tickets are $15 each.

June 13: Albert and Gage from Austin, a town that overflows with gifted singer/songwriters and guitar heroes, says the Houston Press. Christine’s grandmother lived in Paris and her mother is from Switzerland, so an occasional French chanson finds its way into the set. Performing together nine years, they have five albums. Concert will be held at the Fallbrook Woman’s Club and tickets are $15 at the door.

Aug. 1: Riders of the Purple Sage. Last year they performed here before a sold-out audience. Wonderful Hollywood cowboy music Roy Rogers would have been proud of. Concert tickets are $15 each and performance will be at the Mission Theater.

Sept. 5: Dave Stamey. Western music done as only Stamey does it! Concert at the Mission Theater and tickets are $15 each.

Oct. 10: Small Potatoes, husband/wife team Rich Prezioso and Jacquie Manning, writing and performing some of the most beautiful and creative material out there today. Performance will be at the Fallbrook Woman’s Club. Tickets are $15 each.
