Market launches program to help schools

FALLBROOK — Last week, Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market announced the launch of a school fundraising program called Shop for Schools.

Schools that have registered for the program will be eligible to receive a $1 cash donation for every $20 spent at the Fallbrook Fresh & Easy store.

All eligible schools with students in kindergarten through eighth within a three-mile radius of the Fresh & Easy store can participate in the program.

Shop for Schools will run from February 1 through March 31.

Registered schools will mobilize parents and students to shop at Fresh & Easy and then collect and submit receipts for verification. Fresh & Easy will cut a check to the school for the amount raised.

“With school budgets in Fallbrook increasingly under pressure, our customers are looking for ways to help raise money. We created Shop for Schools to be part of the solution and give back to the neighborhood,” said district manager Kamani Wilkins. “The money raised can be used on whatever each school needs most, like books, sports equipment, instruments or computers.”
