Fallbrook seniors are on the go

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Senior Travel Club has several trips in the planning stages.

The first is to Viejas Casino on February 17 at a cost of $12. This includes a two-for-one lunch, driver’s tip and water. There is a shopping center across the street with many well known stores.

The bus will leave the center at 8 a.m. and be back home around 5 p.m. There will be no refunds or cancellations after February 1.

The seniors will be going to the Midway on March 19. Cost is $55 for the bus and admission to the ship, which includes a docent-led tour. Everyone should wear comfortable shoes, as there is quite a bit of walking and stairs.

Twenty-nine people are needed for this trip and they will on their own for lunch at a nearby restaurant. The bus will leave at 9 a.m. and will be back home by 3 p.m. The driver’s tip and a bottle of water are included.

A three-day, two-night trip to Laughlin is scheduled for May 18-20. The group will stay at the Riverside, where there is Bingo, an old car museum and a theater. The trip includes three buffets at the hotel, a room for two nights, bingo with prizes, movies, jokes, water and a snack.

Cost is $100 single and $82 per person double occupancy. Seats will be assigned as payment is made. No refunds or cancellations after May 1.

A Colorado Rocky Mountain trip is in the planning stage for the week of August 23-29. Brochures will be available in office next week. The entire trip will be by bus. The temperature is around 80 to 82 degrees there and rainfall is approximately three and a half inches in August.
