FALLBROOK — Celebrate Black History Month at Fallbrook Library with world-renowned kora musician Baba the Storyteller. He will be performing at the library February 8 at 2 p.m.
This will be a unique opportunity to hear rare classical playing of the African harp, the kora. The kora is a 21-stringed traditional West African instrument. Baba will also share traditional tales from Mali, West Africa.
Baba is a practitioner of the ancient bardic art form known as Jaliyaa. He is also founder and artistic director of the Los Angeles-based performance ensemble Jaliyaa.
