Rosemary Decker

Rosemary Decker, 92, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009, in Fallbrook. She was born in Jamestown, NY.

Her early years were spent in the Winnetka, Wilmette area of Chicago. Rosemary graduated from New Trier High School. As a young adult, she attended the Art Institute of Chicago and Eastern Oregon State College.

Rosemary taught school, tutored and was a dedicated mother. She loved to travel and made many visits to Ireland and Australia.

Space and UFO research were her passion. She culminated her long study of Mars with the publication of her book, “35 Minutes to Mars,” in 2004.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her son, Roger Decker. She is survived by her daughter, Melody Miller of Sedona, AZ; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

To all who knew her, she will be missed and remembered for the joy and wisdom she brought.

A private Celebration of Life will be held. Memorial donations can be made in her name to the Friends of the Fallbrook Library.
