MiraCosta presents Latina Dance Project

OCEANSIDE — MiraCosta College will host a performance of the critically acclaimed Latina Dance Project, a performance group that supports the contemporary expression of the Latina experience through modern dance.

The group will perform “Coyolxauhqui ReMembers,” a contemporary dance-theater work based on an Aztec myth, on Friday, February 6, at 8 p.m. in the MiraCosta Theater at 1 Barnard Drive in Oceanside.

The Latina Dance Project’s MiraCosta performance will be the culmination of a three-day residency that begins on Wednesday, February 4.

The residency includes a lecture-demonstration at 7 p.m. on February 4 in ARTS 111 at Cal State University San Marcos, 333 South Twin Oaks Valley Road.

On Thursday, February 5, at 7 p.m., the group will host a free master class at Palomar College, 1140 West Mission Road, San Marcos.
