Bonsall Chamber begins busy year

BONSALL — The Bonsall Chamber of Commerce got off to a strong start in 2009 due to the high number of members and guests who turned out for the January SunDowner.

The event was hosted by the San Luis Rey Downs Thoroughbred Training Center and manager Leigh Ann Howard. Special guests were Alex Heald, Bonsall Dude, and Seth Essenfeld, Bonsall’s Honorary Mayor.

Members utilized the opportunity to network and support one another in a friendly atmosphere.

“It was nice to see Phil Delaney of Legacy; his wife, Eileen Delaney, of the Fallbrook Community Planning Group; and Fallbrook Chamber President Bryan Perrin at the SunDowner as well as listening to the different members and guests speak about their businesses. Carol Nickson of Newcomers and Dailene Sayler, Vista Valley Country Club, come to mind,” said SunDowner Chairperson Lido Favela.

“Again, I want to remind everybody how important it is to support our members in this economic crisis and I can see that a lot of us our doing our part,” said Favela. “While taking a walk in the River Village center recently, it was great to see the number of people in Peking Wok, Fresco Grill and Rio Rico restaurants.”

The next Bonsall Chamber SunDowner will be held February 12 at Estrella’s Family Restaurant.
