Stunning gifts to choose from at Ward's Jewelers

With Cupid ready to aim his arrow for Valentine’s Day, what a better way to win over the one you love than with a sparkling bauble?

For more than 50 years, Ward’s Jewelers has featured a lustrous inventory, not only for the most romantic day of the year but year-round.

Serving the greater Fallbrook area, Ward’s has been and continues to be the trusted family jeweler for many.

George Ward has been immersed in the family business since his childhood.

“When we moved [here] in 1955, from Idaho, my father bought an existing store,” said Ward, a second-generation jeweler. “I would clean the glass jewelry cases and would polish things up, but when I was in junior high I started to do engraving.”

Now overseeing his attractive storefront in the River Village plaza in Bonsall, Ward provides a warm welcome to all who enter and ensures clients receive his undivided attention.

“I like to be friends with my customers,” Ward explained. “I like to take the time to talk with them, find out what they are looking for and what they want.”

A never-ending goal for Ward is to listen to his clientele.

“I want to make sure that my customers get what they want and not what I want to sell them,” he said, “and this is probably why I have such a low return rate.”

Known for classic timeless pieces, Ward’s Jewelers has a lovely selection for any special occasion, including Valentine’s Day.

Its heart-shaped jewelry will make a lasting impression on that special someone. Lovely sterling silver pieces are easily affordable for those on a smaller budget.

From rings, bracelets and necklaces to earrings and pendants, Ward’s has an array of attractive choices.

Knowing that “diamonds are a girl’s best friend,” Ward also offers choices in beautifully colored gemstones, including ruby, sapphire, emerald, blue topaz, green topaz, green tourmaline, quartz, opal, pearl and more.

“Whatever I don’t have in stock, I can get,” he said. “And I always stand behind what I sell.”

Another special touch that will surely win the heart of a loved one is to select something that can be engraved.

The “Wish Box” that sits at the greeting desk, Ward said, has been a great help to many men throughout the years.

“If a wife wants something here at our store, the information is put in the ‘Wish Box’ which will lead her husband to the right choice,” Ward said. “We even keep ring finger sizes in this box.”

Along with the jewelry nestled inside the cabinets, Ward’s Jewelers also provides custom designs.

“I have done some creations where people wanted their ring converted into a pendant,” said Ward, who pointed out that an older piece of jewelry can be made to look new again.

Also on its menu of services, Ward’s offers loose stones, jewelry and watch repair and watch batteries.

“I have a very capable watch repairman who is so old school, if he needs to make a part, he can do it,” Ward said.

Among the stunning jewels, this shop also offers natural stone jewelry, cut crystal pieces, cross pens, money clips, key rings, 24-karat dipped roses, baby gifts made of pewter and handmade gift cards.
